Good Morning! (since it’s morning somewhere).

You know guys, it’s a tough mission to blog all the animals. It was a valiant quest but I, Catherine - cofounder of blogalltheanimals, have chosen to abandon ship. I just don’t have enough time in my days to blog all the animals, let alone a few. I leave you all in the capable hands of my fellow admins, and the few members we have. It’s been an eventful year, I would even say it’s been swell.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED

Hey Guys, 

Do you like blogging and wasting hours of your day on tumblr? Do you like pictures of animals? Have you ever wanted to reblog photos of animals for hours on end? If the answer is yes, How would YOU like to join our team? We’re looking for a few lucky and creative-minded individuals who would be willing to help us out. 

And all you’ll need to do is answer these questions:

• What is your favourite type of animal? Why?
• Why do you want to help (re)blog all the animals?
• How much time do you spend on tumblr per day? Would you be available daily (or almost daily) to add pictures to the queue?
• How often do you plan to post and/or queue something? Perhaps daily, weekly, biweekly, or other?
• What would be your specialty; that is, what type of animal do you think you would reblog the most? For example, marine life, farm animals, or exotic birds.
• Anything interesting about you whatsoever? (This may just push you over the edge.)

Final decisions will be made by May 1, 2012.

After nearly seven months and ~1,700 posts, we, the admins, have often run out of ideas which explains the semi-frequent lulls. As much as we enjoy posting pictures of cats and dogs, we strive to include almost all of the animal kingdom, that is, all non-human beings; however, it is incredibly difficult to think of what exactly to post. Often we’ll search far and wide for something different but end up right back where we started, cats and/or dogs, which leads leads us to these questions: should we post more aquatic creatures, or insects, or zoo animals, or farm animals? Maybe specific beings like horses, frogs, hedgehogs, elephants, clownfish, or …? Perhaps you’d fancy to see more elusive creatures you didn’t know existed, such as the dik-dik or the slow loris? Would you guys like to see videos? Anything you’d like to know more about? Is there anything we can do to improve this blog?

I suppose the gist of this is: what do you want to see on this blog?

sidenote: our ask/submit boxes have always been open. we’re always welcome to suggestions; in fact, we’d love them.

Hey, guys.

So a few of you had some concerns about how we sometimes post several of the same animals in a row, and we realize that different people have different ideas of “cute.” Our goal with this blog is diversity, of course, since we try to blog all the animals, and we do try to post a variety each day. Sometimes, though, we may end up with several cat posts in a row, for instance, and not everyone wants to see ten cat posts a day from us. 

That being said, while we do appreciate polite requests to cut down the number of specific animal posts in a day, and we will be happy to oblige, if there is an animal that you fear or even dislike in any way, and don’t wish to see on your dash, I would recommend using tumblr savior and blocking that tag. We use tags on every post, so if, for example, you’re afraid of spiders, blocking the “spiders” tag would definitely be a good idea!

We appreciate all of our followers and especially appreciate your suggestions (because, to be honest, sometimes we draw a blank regarding what animals to post), and we feel the recent suggestions post to be a success! As always, please continue to submit pictures and videos, or even leave us suggestions for animals you would like to see us post.

first off, we have a new and improved theme accompanied by an updated sidebar!

secondly, i finally have the time to queue up multiple posts - expect us on your dash more often than we’ve been.

just an update.

first off, i’d like to apologize for our minimal amount of posts lately, but

• for the last few weeks and through the 21st, i, admin one, have been really busy with school to search for these wonderful photos we’ve been bringing you.
• admin two is without internet at her house, going on two months now.
• and admin three, well. she’s trying to hug every cat.

but, no fear! over winter break, we’ll be back up and running like normal.

until then, have a good december! we’ll try to post something if we can!

and, we’ll gladly take your submissions.
